During the summer of 2025, RW Collins proudly partnered with Percy Julian High School on Chicago’s South Side to transform its outdoor sports complex. The renovation replaced the aging turf grass with a brand-new artificial field and added two state-of-the-art scoreboards. These upgrades are designed not only for current students but also for the enjoyment of the entire surrounding community.

RW Collins was entrusted with the earthwork portion of the project, which involved grading and preparing nearly 100,000 square feet of land. Our crews hauled away more than 7,500 cubic yards of soil, concrete, stone, and asphalt, while also importing and grading over 5,200 cubic yards of stone for the new field base.

Spanning from early April to mid-August, this project highlighted the strength of our fleet and the expertise of our skilled team, delivering a modernized athletic facility that will serve students and neighbors for years to come.
